What made me put my arms up.

If you ask me about things that make me feel angry and I see as unacceptable, I think in a lot of things, so many that it’s hard choice just one of them. The society where we are living is so full of injustice, in so many ways; the education is a business and the same history when we talk about health. The human has been taking resources from earth in an excessive way, and her nature is who feel the consequences. Even the food we eat is infested whit chemical substances, this one extended the expired age for food, to make it last more so then the big business can win more Money. Another thing makes me feel angry are the mass media, always trying to spread fear in people, making emphasize on violence in the society (included the students who are fighting) and introducing ideas like the consume and competition. Definitely one of the resposible behind this problem is the capitalist system. It makes me angry because it don’t let the people live in peace, is a unfair system and its designed only for some people, the ones who have a good economic situation and more power (in so many ways), while the most of people have less thing. Is an unfair and an unnatural life, and the worst thing is that people can´t see that. One solution that I can see for this problem (wich unfortunately is not easy); I think the only way for trying a change for our reality is through the social organization. We have to fight day to day for justice and reach, trough the community work, the moment when people could see what they can´t see nowadays, and then they could fight whit us. It´s the only way that I feel we can change something and make the things different.

Travel to London

I think London is a beautiful and very interesting place because is in Europe, and this is a continent where they countries are very near one from the others, more tha here in Latin-america, you can go to France, Germany, Italy so easilier thanks they short distance between countries. In Latin-america you'll have yo spend a lot of money if you want to go to Argentina for example, even when this is a neighbour country. But even knowing this i think that i prefer totally travel in Latin-america, because for me is more interesting can share with people of that countries and learn about his culture, their ways of living, how they conect with life, eart and people. I'd like travel to Cuba for example, and know those beautiful places, could hear that music, look their people on the streets, feel the way they living with the influence by a way of organization, and how much interesting could be to me have the chance to see how the ideology influence directly in the society, talk with people about this, ask them what they think about it and how they live with that. Well, in conclusion, i think that London is a very beautiful city with a lot of places, full of history and a lot interest things to discover. But definitely i prefer to know all my country, from south until the north, and then maybe travel to others countries of Latin-america, because i think i have so much to learn about they people and their history.

The strickes

Since a few month ago mi University are on stricke. A stricke is always a very difficult process because only on a few occasions the people who are protesting can win someone or their requests. This year has a particularity: we are living a war between the educational social movement and the establish mass media. It is because this situation that the work for the students are more difficult because we are losing strong support from civil society, and we have less strong that the actual Nueva Mayoría´s government. On the other hand this year took a dangerous increase of police repression.  ¡that infuriates me tremendously! ¡They hit children! What is more: a stricke always bring achademic problems because, is true, we lose a lot of class and subjects and are more conflicts between students and teachers. But for all I have hope in our people, I think that we can´t throw in the towel because this purpose is not only to us, is a historic social movement, is our responsibility for the future generation. Futhermore if we no fight against to neo-liberalism ¿Who will? But, if I am honest I have to admit that I am little fear about the way that the university finish the exams and calcifications, because I can not reprove any class.

My favorite movie

Hello bloggers

Well, it was a so hard work to think a movie which I can talk to about, because I really like watch movies, so I decided to write about the last good movie I watched and enjoyd. Last weekend I watched a movie who always wanted to watch, but I just never did it, so my friend came into my house and we put play on it. The name of the movie is ‘Babel’, a movie who try to tell the spectator how big is the reach of United States of America in the world, with one story of an American couple stuck in Marruecos, which themselves can spawn unfortunate events around the globe, the movie shows four different stories in four different countries involved with the first incident. There’s three famous Hollywood actors in Babel; Brad Pitt, Kate Blanchet And Gael García Bernal. Would be good to indicate that one of the biggest reasons we decided to watch de movie, was the fact that we like Brad Pitt as actor.

I liked the fact that Babel touch the theme of racism in the world, the discrimination because of the raze, conflicts with violence, vulnerability, abuse of power and people who is every day a victim of a system, and in the other hand, is all a fiction that can be perfectly fit in the real life. Also is always a pleasure to watch some audiovisual project which can make us get a feeling, and in this case, me and my friend cried because of what we were watching, and yell, and felt bad or angry, so was not a waste of time to be in front of a screen for an hour and a half, quite the opposite, thanks of that, I’m writing all this about.

For sure, who is reading this, try to watch Babel, may be a good way to pass time.

My career

Hello classmates and teacher

Currently I am a student of third year in Sociology at Universidad de Chile. The truth is that until I was 16 years old I had the intention of studying Law in the future, but I changed my mind when I discovered what sociology was about. In the beginning I believed that the sociologists where a kind of social planners and they could bring solution for practical problems, and principally from that idea I decided to enter this degree; I wanted to have the tools for changing the world. In spite of noticing that I could not reach that goal trough the sociological practice, I feel that it still bring me some very useful tools to understand how the society function. By understanding it, there can be elaborated solutions from other spaces that don’t have to be the sociology academies. A sociologist can specialize itself in many different areas. The principal ways where sociology can be differentiated are the quantitative and qualitative ways. Because of that we, the sociologists, have to specialize in many different investigation methodologies. It’s important to have known that a good sociologist might pass the rest of its life studying, because the society (our study object) is in continuous change.

Contemporary dance

I think everybody would like to learn new things, and more than a few. Everytime we walk out the streets we see different people doing so many different things and as well the teacher said, we learn about it but also sometimes we feel the temptation to became good in it. I am not too far for that, sometimes I go to some places where there is people who is playing instruments, singing, doing acrobatics on a big piece of cloth hanging from a resistant tree branch, or different kind of art and I really want to learn how to do it well in the moment, but the thing I like most from my childhood is dance. Since I remember my mom dance with me, meanwhile she was listening music and doing the house stuff, so I liked the way it feels, later when I was about 8 years old I danced alone in front on TV and makes me feel so full of good energy, more close to the age I am now, my fan tries to dance good became to real passion and I looked for a place where someone teach me technics for contemporary dance so I can find the way to go in the searching for my own abilities for dance. I registered on a dance class in the university las year, and was amazing! I learned many things and had a lot of fun, I really loved it. This year I tried to do the same, but unfortunately, the career classes in the university and my militancy in a political group made me use almost my all time, when I am not in the classroom I am reading for the career, trying to build a better society or visiting my family and friends, and for being a good dancer is completely necessary to dedicated time on it. Anyway, not everything it’s so bad as it listens, in the correct time of my future life, when I had been finished my career of sociology, I will take classes so I can dance just for feeling good with myself and put my mind in connection with my body, and also with this practice I will be exercising so I will be healthy. I hope my expectations became into facts in the future, I am sure the passion will do their stuff

Live in Santiago

I was born in Santiago and i've been lived here since I remember. I dont like living here because there ir so much people and so much polution in the air. Most of the streets are gray and dirty, is very difficult to find colors in this city, but not everything is so bad, the fact of living with so many people let me to appreciate the Cultural diversity and the countless opportunities of study and work. Also I love the spirit of the social massive protest, but is shame that the goverment dont listen the problems of other cities. The most important problem of this city is the social and economy inequality, because you can watch that is very different to living in Las Condes in comparation with La Pintana. I think that is urgent to solve this last problem that our country build a very different social organization with another economic politics, with territory control for the poor peopple and the worker control of the industries. If I meet some tourist in the future, i would say to him that he must visit Barrio Yungay because is the most pretty neighborhood in Santiago and that he must visit the San Cristobal and Santa Lucía's Hill because of history and beuty of them, also there are the only space of real nature in the City of Santiago.
